2010 FORD TAURUS

Lines you'll want to stay between!

Clearly, our designers thought outside the ordinary sedan box. Instead, they focused on the details and sculpted an athletic profile that is perpetually poised. Exterior mirrors flow purposefully from the doors. Lines convey power and agility. Incandescent tail lamps pick up those same lines and race you around the rear. It’s all meant to pull you inside where there are countless reasons to never get out.

Intelligent features.  Smart technology.

This car has so many optional intelligent features, you almost expect it to tell you where to go and what to anticipate on the way. There’s a voice-activated Navigation System that provides you with current local gas prices on top of voice-guided turn-by-turn directions. Another feature warns you if it senses a potential collision and provides brake support. The invisible keypad and push button start makes locking yourself out of the car a thing of the past. Now that’s smart. Just like so many of the features on Taurus.

Step on it and your pulse accelerates.

What it’s like to drive the new Taurus: Power delivery is confident, not high-strung. Handling is crisp, not twitchy. If you want to take a more active role in where you’re headed, flick through the gears of the available six-speed Selectshift Automatic™ transmission with paddle activation. The available all-wheel drive will help you stick to the road when conditions get sloppy. And if you opt for the SHO model, you’ll get it all plus some. That major plus being the all-new 3.5L EcoBoost™ twin turbocharged direct injection V6 engine that delivers V6-like fuel economy* with V8-like performance – 365 horsepower and 350 lb. ft. of torque.

Our obsession with details can be yours too!

You’ll notice the attention to detail the moment you get in. Available multi-contoured seats provide a therapeutic massage to help reduce driving fatigue. The center stack flows into the armrest console at a perfectly driver-oriented 38º angle, the controls illuminated by Ice Blue™ Lighting. While available leather-trimmed climate-controlled front seats and adjustable ambient lighting with seven colors and five dimmers let you get the environment just right . This was designed to be a driver’s car, from those lumbar-massaging, fatigue-reducing, nerve-stimulating seats on out.

2010 FORD Fusion

41 miles per gallon says it all.  The Fusion Hybrid’s EPA-estimated gas mileage leaves our foreign competition at a loss for words. It can go over 700 miles between fill ups, which for the average commuter translates into a stop at the pump once a month.  And our standard I-4 engine gets 34 mpg highway, the most fuel-efficient non-hybrid mid-size sedan on the road.  Either way, driving a Fusion makes a statement. You care about the environment.

Energy Flow Display

Included in the available Navigation System is the Hybrid Energy Flow Display. It lets you to track the powertrain's four modes of operation — Hybrid Drive, Electric Drive, Gas Engine and Idle Charging — plus overall fuel economy.

Regenerative Braking

When you apply the brakes in a conventional vehicle, kinetic energy is lost to heat due to friction. During braking in the Fusion Hybrid, the regenerative braking system captures 94 percent of this energy that is normally lost and sends it back to the battery pack to be stored for later use. Not only is regenerative braking efficient, but it helps minimize wear on the brake pads, lowering the cost of maintenance.
